Recreation – Geist Half Marathon and 5K

Geist is home to the Geist Half Marathon and 5K, an annual event that promotes health an wellness in the children surrounding Geist Reservoir. The event is held in late May. Interested participants can register by going to http://geisthalf.com.

Geist Reservior is also home to many social clubs and private boating clubs. These include the Indianapolis Yacht Club, Indianapolis Sailing Club, Hawthorns Golf and Country Club, and the Ironwood and Windermere Golf Courses
